Accountant - revenue reconciliation (New Orleans, LA)

Foxglove Bridge Arts Center is an arts centre in New Orleans with a full calendar of events. We are hiring an Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. You would join a small organisation of about 38 people based in New Orleans. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to visitor services, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around school partnerships against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in New Orleans. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
