Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Nashville, TN)

Clearpath Wilder Insurance sells home, auto and small-business insurance in Nashville, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. We invest in training for new adjusters. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around premium billing against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Nashville. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
