Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Nashville, TN)

Silverline Vale Water Authority Group operates treatment plants and pipelines around Nashville. We are hiring an Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. You would join a small organisation of about 146 people based in Nashville. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around treatment plant data against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with billing accounts. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Nashville. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
