Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Nashville, TN)

Foxglove Forge Transit Planning helps transport agencies around Nashville design routes and schedules. We are hiring an Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. We like people who ride the bus and notice when things do not work. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to accessibility audits, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around fare systems against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with accessibility audits.
