Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Minneapolis, MN)

Ironwood Bright Water Authority Group operates treatment plants and pipelines around Minneapolis. We are hiring an Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to meter reading, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around treatment plant data against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with meter reading. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Minneapolis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
