Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Minneapolis, MN)

Summit Fern Energy delivers power and gas plans across the Minneapolis region, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. You would join a small organisation of about 182 people based in Minneapolis. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around meter readings against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to usage data, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with usage data. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
