Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Milwaukee, WI)

Silverline Drift Civic Services Partners is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on revenue reconciliation for permits, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 11 people based in Milwaukee. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to permits, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around constituent requests against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with permits. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Milwaukee, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
