Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Milwaukee, WI)

We are growing our team at Redstone Forge Transit Planning Group and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be revenue reconciliation. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Milwaukee. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around survey data against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with accessibility audits. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Milwaukee. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
