Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Milwaukee, WI)

Northwind Yarrow Hospitality operates hotels and event venues around Milwaukee, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to guest bookings, and clear open items. • Track costs around supplier orders against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with guest bookings. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Milwaukee. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
