Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Miami, FL)

Harborlight Ember Housing is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on revenue reconciliation for maintenance stores, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 263 people based in Miami. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to maintenance stores, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with maintenance stores. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Miami. • We reply to every applicant.
