Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Miami, FL)

Amberfield Rowan Hospitality Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on revenue reconciliation for group events, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track costs around food costs against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to group events, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with group events. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Miami, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
