Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Miami, FL)

Silverline Orchard Freight is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on revenue reconciliation for claims, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We reward reliability. What you will do • Track costs around loads and lanes against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with claims. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Miami, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
