Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Miami, FL)

We are growing our team at Rivermark Willow Water Authority and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be revenue reconciliation. You would join a large organisation of about 452 people based in Miami. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around capital projects against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to pipe repairs, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with pipe repairs. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Miami, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
