Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Miami, FL)

Bright Umber Telecom provides broadband and phone service around Miami. We are hiring an Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Miami. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to billing accounts, and clear open items. • Track costs around field visits against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with billing accounts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Miami. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
