Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Miami, FL)

Harborlight Lakeside Banking Services is a regional lender in Miami with branches and a growing mobile service, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. You would join a small organisation of about 99 people based in Miami. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with deposit accounts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Miami, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
