Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Memphis, TN)

Northwind Fox Early Learning Group runs childcare centres in Memphis caring for infants, toddlers and preschoolers. We are hiring an Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. You would join a small organisation of about 41 people based in Memphis. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to enrolment, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around classroom supplies against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Memphis. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
