Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Louisville, KY)

Stonegate Bridge Inspection Services tests and certifies buildings, pipelines and equipment around Louisville, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to field inspections, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with field inspections. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Louisville, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
