Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Louisville, KY)

Fernwood Iron Pharma is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on revenue reconciliation for release testing, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We work to strict standards and value careful documentation. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to release testing, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around batch records against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with release testing. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Louisville. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
