Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Knoxville, TN)

Amberfield Maple Early Learning operates neighbourhood childcare around Knoxville. We are hiring an Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. Low staff turnover is a goal we take seriously. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around meal programmes against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to tuition and subsidies, and clear open items. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with tuition and subsidies. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Knoxville, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
