Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Knoxville, TN)

Northwind Fox Early Learning operates neighbourhood childcare around Knoxville. We are hiring an Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around tuition and subsidies against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to classroom supplies, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Knoxville, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
