Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Knoxville, TN)

Amberfield Willow Construction is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on revenue reconciliation for safety records, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Site safety is non-negotiable. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to safety records, and clear open items. • Track costs around materials orders against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Knoxville, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
