Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Knoxville, TN)

We are growing our team at Rivermark Loom Learning Group and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be revenue reconciliation. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to school calendars, and clear open items. • Track costs around student accounts against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with school calendars. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Knoxville, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
