Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Knoxville, TN)

Bright Quarry Care Services Group is a social-care provider serving older adults and people with disabilities around Knoxville. We are hiring an Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track costs around licensing against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with client records. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Knoxville. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
