Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Kansas City, MO)

Cedar Stone Telecom is a telecommunications provider in Kansas City focused on reliable home and business connections, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. You would join a small organisation of about 131 people based in Kansas City. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around field visits against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to outage reports, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with outage reports. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Kansas City. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
