Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Jacksonville, FL)

Lumen Ember Early Learning Group operates neighbourhood childcare around Jacksonville. We are hiring an Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around meal programmes against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with classroom supplies. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Jacksonville. • We reply to every applicant.
