Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Jacksonville, FL)

Silverline Thistle Property Management looks after rental homes across the Jacksonville area, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. Residents are neighbours, not numbers. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to maintenance requests, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with maintenance requests. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Jacksonville, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
