Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Jacksonville, FL)

Bright Maple Early Learning is an early-learning provider in Jacksonville, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. You would join a small organisation of about 116 people based in Jacksonville. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to family communication, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Jacksonville, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
