Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Jacksonville, FL)

We are growing our team at Bright North Construction and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be revenue reconciliation. Good people move up quickly. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around project schedules against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to change orders, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with change orders. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Jacksonville. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
