Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Jackson, MS)

Rivermark Rowan Farms is an agricultural business based around Jackson, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. You would join a small organisation of about 24 people based in Jackson. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around harvest schedules against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with grower contracts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Jackson. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
