Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Jackson, MS)

Nova Junction Staffing connects candidates and employers across the Jackson region, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Jackson. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around timekeeping against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to onboarding, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Jackson. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
