Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Indianapolis, IN)

Ironwood Quarry Care Services provides in-home and community support in Indianapolis, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Indianapolis. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around visit scheduling against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to family communication, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with family communication. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Indianapolis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
