Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Houston, TX)

Highbridge Juniper Hospitality is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on revenue reconciliation for housekeeping schedules, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Promotion from within is common. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to housekeeping schedules, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around reviews and feedback against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with housekeeping schedules. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Houston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
