Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Houston, TX)

We are growing our team at Clearpath Orchard Banking Services and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be revenue reconciliation. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with deposit accounts. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Houston, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
