Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Houston, TX)

We are growing our team at Highbridge Cross Farms and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be revenue reconciliation. We are a family-run business at heart. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to seasonal crews, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with seasonal crews. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Houston, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
