Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Houston, TX)

Redstone Granite Housing is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on revenue reconciliation for repair requests, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Housing is our mission and residents are our neighbours. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to repair requests, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with repair requests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Houston. • We reply to every applicant.
