Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Houston, TX)

Lumen Nest Staffing connects candidates and employers across the Houston region, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around onboarding against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to client orders, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with client orders. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Houston. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
