Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Houston, TX)

Bright Ridge Learning Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on revenue reconciliation for school calendars, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around enrolment against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to school calendars, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with school calendars. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Houston. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
