Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Honolulu, HI)

Summit Umber Facilities is a facilities company in Honolulu with crews on day and night shifts, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. Our crews keep other people's buildings running and we treat them well. What you will do • Track costs around customer sites against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to safety inspections, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with safety inspections. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Honolulu, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
