Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Honolulu, HI)

Foxglove Basin Environmental Services is an environmental-services company in Honolulu with routes, transfer stations and recycling. We are hiring an Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. Safety briefings happen every morning. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to landfill records, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around recycling loads against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with landfill records.
