Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Honolulu, HI)

Ironwood Property Management Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on revenue reconciliation for unit turnovers, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Residents are neighbours, not numbers. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around maintenance requests against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with unit turnovers. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Honolulu. • We reply to every applicant.
