Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Honolulu, HI)

Harborlight Beacon Housing provides affordable homes and support services around Honolulu. We are hiring an Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. Housing is our mission and residents are our neighbours. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around waiting lists against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with lease compliance. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Honolulu. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
