Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Honolulu, HI)

Redstone Clear Freight Partners is a Honolulu logistics company with trucks, warehouses and dispatch, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. On-time is the promise and we work hard to keep it. What you will do • Track costs around carrier rates against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to loads and lanes, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with loads and lanes. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Honolulu. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
