Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Hartford, CT)

Rivermark Pine Financial serves customers across Hartford with accounts, loans and payments, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. Career paths are clear. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to account servicing, and clear open items. • Track costs around vendor spend against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with account servicing. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
