Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Hartford, CT)

Harborlight Keystone Transit Planning is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on revenue reconciliation for fare systems, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. What you will do • Track costs around accessibility audits against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to fare systems, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Hartford. • We reply to every applicant.
