Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Hartford, CT)

Lumen Harbor Care Services supports families and individuals in Hartford with personal care and coordination, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. We train and promote from within. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around family communication against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to care plans, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with care plans. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Hartford, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
