Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Hartford, CT)

We are growing our team at Fernwood Harbor Care Services and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be revenue reconciliation. You would join a small organisation of about 137 people based in Hartford. What you will do • Track costs around licensing against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with care plans. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Hartford, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
