Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Grand Rapids, MI)

Cedar Nest Financial is a financial-services company in Grand Rapids, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Grand Rapids. What you will do • Track costs around regulatory reports against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to loan applications, and clear open items. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
