Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Grand Rapids, MI)

Harborlight Loom Construction is a Grand Rapids contractor with project managers, trades and support staff. We are hiring an Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. You would join a small organisation of about 34 people based in Grand Rapids. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to change orders, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around safety records against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements.
