Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Fresno, CA)

We are growing our team at Ironwood Pine Water Authority Group and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be revenue reconciliation. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track costs around meter reading against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to treatment plant data, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with treatment plant data. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Fresno, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
