Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Fort Worth, TX)

Silverline Iron Housing is a nonprofit housing provider in Fort Worth, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. Collaboration with local agencies is constant. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around lease compliance against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with maintenance stores. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Fort Worth, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
